May upgrade to GTX 1060, but wan't to keep Mavericks as OS. What are my options?

Title mostly sums it up. I currently have a GTX 760, and I'm considering upgrading to GTX 1060 6GB, primarily for gaming. However, I'm hesitant of upgrading my Hackintosh from Mavericks to Sierra, mostly because I don't want to lose any software that may work on 10.9, but won't work on 10.12. It seems like I have two options if I choose to upgrade my GPU. 1) Upgrade to Sierra, and install Nvidia drivers for the 1060, or 2) run two cables, using the internal GPU for OSX and the 1060 for Win10.

Am I missing any other options? Thanks!
