I know posts like these pop up quite often, but I need some advice on installing Hackintosh on my laptop.
Basically, I am currently completing an internship where I am developing an app on my brother's 2011 MacBook Pro because I don't have a Mac. xCode has become quite slow when using the storyboard and I experience stalling that can go for up to 10 seconds at a time. I want a quick stop-gap solution to avoid this problem until I am finished.
Anyway, I was thinking of using Hackintosh on my windows laptop to develop instead, in the hope that it will be faster. I also want to be able to dual boot both windows and mac on my laptop. It has two HDDs so I am hoping I can have one OS on each.
My Laptop specs are as follows:
Laptop Model: Asus N56VZ (Purchased 2012)
Motherboard Model: N65VZ (ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.)
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.30GHz, 2301 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M (2GB DDR3)
RAM: 16GB
HDD: 2x500GB
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Hopefully I have put in the right specs, let me know if something is off.
So with all that, can anyone provide advice/insight into my situation? I want to dual boot so I can still use windows for other projects. Lastly, if it is possible to dual boot using both HDDs, what would the process be in restoring the HDD so it can be used for windows again? I will want to clear Hackintosh when I am finished.
Thank you.
