Can I dual boot OSX and Windows 10 without wiping my windows 10?

So I have a laptop currently running Windows 10. Can I dual boot Sierra on a separate portion like I would with ubuntu or another Linux distro? (get bootable drive, partition, run bios and select boot stock) or do I have to do more steps?

I looked in up and searched this sub, and found that normally OSX is installed first, so I'll have to wipe my computer for it to work. Is this true, or can I do the steps above?

Thanks
