Long story short, I am moving my whole ecosystem from Google/Windows to Apple. I am committed. I am a computer tech and I am ready.
Bottom line, what is the best advice you can give for a first timer? Things to avoid?
I am purchasing new CPU/Mobo/Mem combo and I am making sure it is on the Tony compatible list.

I built the USB thumb drive with High Sierra and put the latest version of Clover on it. Put a couple of the required kexts in there. I am fairly confident. I have compiled Gentoo Linux from scratch using their lengthy guide years ago so I am pretty confident I can tackle this.
