This guide is about how to install macOS and Windows 10 using Clover Bootloader to boot into both OSs on a same hard drive.
Requirement:
USB drive (8GB and up)
Full UEFI support without CSM needed
GUID partition map for all partition
Mac OSX 10.11 or macOS 10.1x and up & Windows 7 and up
MiniTool Partition Wizard Free Edition (If you want to install macOS when you have Windows installed)
So, there are 2 ways you can put this working together. You can install macOS with Clover Bootloader first then install Windows 10 later. Or, you can install Windows 10 first then install macOS and override Clover Bootloader later.
macOS -> Windows
First, you need to install macOS, you don't need to leave any free space for Windows. Just install macOS on any space you have of your hard drive. Then install Clover Bootloader and do anything you have to do to get your macOS working perfectly. Now, open Disk Utility (macOS 10.13 have to View -> Show other drives). Click to partition button, create another partition for Windows from macOS partition. Format it to Mac OS Extended (J) like the picture and apply.
Now plug your Windows USB installer, boot into it. You will found your partition that you just spilled for Windows OS. Delete it, now click into the free space you just get from that and click next. Windows will be installed on that free space. Continue to boot into Windows and install driver, program,... After that boot into BIOS settings set your boot priority back to Clover Bootloader. Done, you can boot into macOS & Windows using Clover Bootloader now!
Windows -> macOS
You can use this way to keep your Windows data and still can install macOS. Open MiniTool Partition Wizard, you will see your hard drive on there. It should be like this, your EFI partition should be about 100MBs (if you have about 200MBs and up, you can skip this and move on to install macOS). Now you have to spill about 150MBs from Windows partition to EFI partition. MiniTool Partition may need some reboot for this.
Now format your partition you plan to install macOS to FAT32, reboot, and boot into macOS installer. Erase that FAT32 partition to HFS+J or APFS (macOS 10.13.x) and install on it. Now open Clover Bootloader package and install on your hard drive, set up your config.plist and install your kext.
Note: You may ask why we don't copy EFI folder from USB to it. Well, if you do that Windows EFI boot will break. So if you use Clover Bootloader package and copy config.plist/ACPI patched/kexts. Windows EFI boot will be fine.
You should be done right now, boot into BIOS and set boot priority to Clover Bootloader.
Note
You can't create a partition from some free space of your disk. macOS won't allow that (Ask Apple why?).
Please don't format to exFAT or FAT32 on macOS if you want to install Windows on that partition. macOS will create MBR partition and Windows can't install on that (Ask Apple why?)
This guide only for UEFI users and GUID partition map. If you using MBR and Legacy mode then I can't help. Sorry! :(
