Newb here. PC user. My goal is to enjoy the retina display for word processing (font quality), photo browsing, and Youtube. No gaming. I was wondering if Apple's retina 21" or 27" screen is worth it alone to get a refurb 2015 model. I was considering building a budget hackintosh with a 4k monitor because I heard the base graphic card on 2015 could stutter. Is that true only for gaming? I'm not able to compare Mac OS side by a side on Apple's retina vs an aftermarket 4k hackintosh. Budget is <$1000 with monitor. Thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.
