99% sure on getting a Dell Xps 15 in the future. How should I prepare?

Well, after making a post a couple days ago about getting into the community, I got recommended a Dell XPS 15 for my school laptop. I love what I have heard about it, except it will use internal graphics on MacOS and not the GPU. I won't be buying this or trying to install MacOS on it for at least 6 months, so what should I watch/read/do to learn more about installing Mac? The guides say "This isn't for beginners" so, I want to get more into the community so I can understand it more.
