[help!] High Sierra apple logo freeze

Alright guys, I’ve been at this for almost 2 weeks with 0 progress. Here is my rig + situation:

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-z9mx gaming 5 CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k 4.0Hz Quad Core GPU: AMD Sapphire RX 480 SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB

I had been using os El Capitan for a long while before I decided to try and update to High Sierra. I followed the installation guide but must have messed up along the way (at what step, I couldn’t tell you).

I am currently able to boot into on a separate disk I’d previously used as a backup, but that drive got messed up once I tried to update multibeast.

I’ve now decided to do a fresh install where I plan on loading from a previous time machine back up I have on an external drive, but even a fresh install is causing me a headache now!

The laptop I have at my disposal was just updated to HS so now I’m unable to download the HS installer off the App Store.

The real problem now is whenever I try to boot off my USB the apple logo progress bar gets to about 90% then freezes with the spinning wheel of death.

should I have specific Kexts on my USB clover in order to use my RX 480?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(Sorry for spamming r/hackintosh recently)
