Hey all. Been using a Mac professionally for 25 years. Annoyed as hell by the new ‘let’s turn a workstation into a smartphone!’ Philosophy they have.
I was going to build a hackintosh, but then I started reading about virtualization. Since you can get near-native speeds on most applications if you do it right, it seems like a pretty good deal. Nowadays you can install OSX builds as your VM.
What are the pros/cons to each method? What are th VM performance hits really like? How stable can you get a Hackintosh build?
