Considering whether or not to build a PC that can dual boot windows 10 & mojave
- What's the longevity of the system if I want to keep it up-to-date?
- If I have Mojave installed, will there be a point in the near future (say 4-8 years) where my projected specs wont support kexts for future operating systems?
- What are kexts exactly in layman's terms - are they just drivers for wifi, GPU, etc?
- i5-8600k, Gigabyte Z370N Wifi ITX, DDR4-2x8 3000, RX 570 4GB
- Also, is it possible to run two GPUs (GTX 1070 FE & RX 570) in one PC - GTX 1070 for Windows & 570 for the Hackintosh?
- If I have Mojave installed, will there be a point in the near future (say 4-8 years) where my projected specs wont support kexts for future operating systems?
- Somewhat unrelated but how long after the initial release date of a mac OS will it become obselete?
- I'd like to keep my PC w/o buying any extra for another 4-5 years w/ up-to-date OS but I am willing to keep 1.14 if my specs for whatever reason don't support the future operating systems
- Will this ever be a problem? Are there people right now on 10.8 because they can't upgrade?
- Until how many years / OS releases will Mojave be unusable? -Can you still do everyday tasks on 10.8 Mountain Lion?
