Wifi cards compatible with Sierra

Dear hackintoshers,

I built a hackintosh a few years ago, but never added 802.11 connectivity. Now I moved and am too far from the router to use a cable. What are the top 3 best wifi cards that are compatible with this setup ? There is a lot of information online, some of it seems outdated or contradictory.

I would like to add an internal PCI-type card with both wifi and bluetooth.

  • OS: macOS Sierra 10.12.3
  • MOTHERBOARD: ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero (2xSATAe, 6xSATA600)
  • PROCESSOR: INTEL Quad Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz
  • GRAPHICS: GIGABYTE GV-N970G1 GAMING-4GD PCIe (GeForce GTX970 4096MB)
  • DISPLAY: 27" LED DELL UP2715K
  • MEMORY: DDR4 2x8GB
  • STORAGE: SSD 512 GB M.2 SAMSUNG 950 Pro
  • POWER: 1000W CORSAIR

Today I would go vanilla, but back in the day I used MultiBeast and checked these options:

  • Quick Start > UEFI Boot Mode
  • Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALC1150
  • Drivers > Audio > 100 Series Audio
  • Drivers > Disk > 3rd Party SATA
  • Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC Plugins
  • Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC HWMonitor Application
  • Drivers > Network > Intel > IntelMausiEthernet
  • Drivers > USB > Increase Max Port Limit

I also have NMVE enabled and the NVidia web drivers. Thanks a lot for your help !
