IdeaPad Flex 5 (kinda) success

Specs:

Model: 14ALC05

CPU: Ryzen 7 5700U

Graphics: Vega 8 graphics

Storage: 500 GB Samsung NVME drive

RAM: 16GB 3200 DDR4

MacOS 12.7.1

What works:

Keyboard + all related functions + backlight

Ethernet via USB

All USB ports

What doesn’t work:

WiFi/BT (originally had a mediatek 7921)

Trackpad

Graphics Acceleration stick at 7mb

Sound (didn’t bother)

Touchscreen

Tried everything I could think of to get the trackpad to work. Tried all kexts and usb mapping and the thing still won’t work. Tried patching via GPIO method but because of the AMD controller it’s laid out differently. Also, used nootedred for the iGPU but I don’t believe the Ryzen 7 5700U is supported so there is no way for me to get more than 7mb of VRAM. WiFi doesn’t work because I originally had a MT7921 card in this machine and it isn’t supported. Swapped it out for an intel AX210 and the laptop won’t detect it so that’s a no go. Might try to swap to a Realtek card. I also successfully dual booted with windows 11
