 | I had some problems earlier with my Sonoma hackintosh, mainly iMessage, FaceTime and software updates not working so I decided to try again with a different serial number and a different macOS version. I first tried Monterey but couldn't boot that so I switched to Big Sur which wanted to boot, generated a new serial number, checked it and it came out as invalid, installed Big Sur, checked the serial number again and it came out as valid, with purchase date of December 2023 and warranty until December 23rd 2024, 1 year from today. With this valid serial number, software updates seem to work, have not tried FaceTime/iMessage yet. So is it alright if I keep this serial number? [link] [comments] |
