Getting close on my ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 6... help pls.

The laptop is booting fine, but locking up in the installer (original attempt got to within 2min of completion).

Recently, it locked up while unmounting the disk in Disk Utility !!

Is it possible I have an incompatible NVME SSD? It is a 512GB Samsung MZVLB512HAJQ-00L7

PS. Followed Dortania Guide for Kaby Lake laptop, using OC 0.9.6 -> attempting to install 10.14.6 Mojave.
