upgraded my 2012 macbook pro (md101) and installed macos sonoma!

i finally upgraded my 2012 macbook pro (md101) with a 512gb ssd and 16gb ram, and successfully installed macos sonoma using oclp!

the whole process took around 9 hours lol, mostly because i was troubleshooting a flash drive that didn’t want to cooperate. in the end i just bought a new one and it worked instantly.

so far it’s been running great! smooth for daily stuff and i’m honestly surprised how well it holds up for its age.

but i’ve been curious, should i just stick with sonoma or is it worth downgrading to ventura for better performance or upgrading to sequoia just to try it out?

would love to hear your thoughts or experiences with those versions on similar machines.
