Hello all, im very new to this whole scene. The last few days I've been trying to get an Ivy Bridge hackintosh to work, and got it to actually install Catalina 10.15.4 on it, but a couple of minutes into the desktop, the image starts glitching more and More to the point where it freezes and only the mouse pointer keeps working. I'm running with the iGPU on this i5 3330. Anything you wise people think I could check on the BIOS or in the config.plist? Hi all, I recently built a hackintosh and just noticed my safari doesn't really work. When I try to log in to gmail.com , it get an error and Safari tries to reload and then eventually crashes. Sometime, I get an error message saying error happened repeatedly. I tried with Catalina 10.15.6 and 10.15.7, and safari 14 and 13. So, I think it's not Apple's software problem. Safari also cannot load complex websites using javascript. But If I disable javascript, no error occurs. So, I am suspicious of iGPU settings. Hi guys, I'm having a strange issue: I copied I'm EFI folder in my ssd to a usb just for a backup because I was trying some changes to my hack configuration, but when I tried booting from usb it didn't work. Just stuck in bios like there is no bootable usb, but the EFI folder is the same of my SSD and if I try to boot from SSD it works normal. Welp a thunderstorm took down my ryzentosh this past week and was thinking of switching to intel since I need to replace mobo / cpu... was looking for something that would work oob with few hacks! What I have : VEGA 56 gpu, 2 xm.2 drives, Matx form factor case, 16 gb of ram, 750 watt psu , USB Bluetooth adaptor, USB WiFi adaptor, Reasons to switch to intel is basically for the enchanted video rendering in fcp w intel gpu... I am a vj and I do a lot of h264 / pro res renders for proofs for clients. Plus was having stability issues with gpu w random crashes when taxing the gpu for long periods of time ( not sure gpu is fucked and hoping switching to team blue might also solve gpu issues ). Budget for cpu / gpu is around 500$ Not worried about over clocking as stability is a major concern for shows, but planning on some light gaming on the dual boot side! I first had Mojave on my Acer Aspire V3-772G installed and everything worked on that machine (except for WiFi ofc) Then I wanted to install Catalina next to Mojave. At first the installer didn’t boot at all. I found a solution on the internet to simply add the file “SSDT-EC.aml” to EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched. However I was no longer able to use USB then. It said “USB accessories need power” So I looked this issue up and found out that I simply had to delete “USBInjectAll.kext” But now my audio no longer works! Hi all, I recently built a hackintosh with 10700k and Asrock z490 itx/tb3 board. With opencore 0.6.2 and Catalina 10.15.7, everything works well except two things. The first problem is safari cannot load websites with javascript. (especially, I cannot log in Gmail !!) This is problematic since I cannot add google calendar to Calendar app as adding google account in internet accounts requires me to sign in via Safari. I suspected it's safari 14's problem.. so I used the cloned Catalina 10.15.6 with Safari 13 and upgraded OS to 10.15.7 without updating Safari; upgrading just OS to 10.15.7 broke my safari again.. Hey guys, so I am having a bit of an issue with trying to swap out my RX 580 with a 5700 XT. I figured it would be as easy as swapping the cards but when I turn on the computer and select the drive to load it gets stuck on the boot loader. I swapped everything back and it's working again. I don't know what the problem is here. Working for 2+ years hackintosh. ASUS ROG Strix z370-e Intel i7-8700K EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC I have 2 hackintosh partitions, and 1 Windows. All are on separate drives. 1 Hack is on NVME, other 2 partitions are on SSD. So the NVME (10.13.4) hack gets hung up now on this error when booting in verbose: Waiting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID="1">IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch</key><string ID="2">boot-uuid-media</string></dict> And hangs up on "Still Waiting on Root Device" and gives the prohibitory sign. If I look up these errors it's usually on people's first install, but keep in mind this device has been working for 2 years without issues. So, here is the deal: I am thinking of reinstalling MacOS on my laptop. Now, the last time I worked on it, nearly everything was working great. Even SD card reader. However, 2 problems remained: no video feed from my built-in camera and distorted microphone sound. Laptop's camera is IR for Windows Hello unlocking, and it is recognized. However when I opet photo booth (I think that is the app name), all I get is a black screen. No feed from the camera. Could the IR camera be the problem? The second issue is sound from the microphone. I tried testing Siri but it would not recognize any words I threw at her (and yes, I can speak english very well). When I tested the microphone online my voice was heavily distorted. But on windows the sound coming from microphone is crystal clear. What could be the problem? Hello, I want to try and use opencore to dual-boot macOS and win 10 on my Dell optiplex 7040. Just one question, when following the guide, I couldn't get to get it to boot into the install screen. Was a perfect working dual boot system before this I even tried my bootable Clonzilla USB, but the same thing happens, it restarts after trying to initialize any OS. I can get into the bios to play around with settings just fine, I loaded optimized default settings to see if I could boot Windows, but nothing changed. Does this sound like a bad PSU? Hi all! I decided to try macOS BigSur on my desktop. I created the USB with createinstallmedia and then booted from it. I successfully installed the os but then when I chose the BigSur disk in OC it got stuck ( image ). Then I tried putting the disk into server and creating VM and installing it like that. Hi everyone, I'm a software developer and had been using Macbook last 7 years, but it slowed a lot and since Macbooks are very expensive especially in my country I created a desktop. But not having information about hackintosh possibilities I created a desktop with Ryzen 5 and Rtx2060. Hi, I want to install Hackintosh Dual Boot (separate drive) to my laptop but it is a different laptop than usual so I wanted to ask the community. I have a desktop 9700K with it's iGPU disabled from bios (locked setting) and an overclocked 1070. I'll install High Sierra because of the NVIDIA GPU. Hey everyone, I've been trying to get Mojave (or even Catalina at this point) working on my 2018 Razer Blade 15 Advanced model. I tried using some pre-made configurations, none of which worked so i went and created an OpenCore installer USB from scratch, following a guide. I've checked and rechecked everything, my config.plist, my bios settings, my kexts, everything. This also happens with both a Mojave installer, and a Catalina installer. I created the usb through the tool in windows (I can’t remember what it was called) and I turned off the recovery only option thinking that would work but it doesn’t. I tried usb tethering from a jailbroken phone but it wouldn’t detect it even though it was recognized in terminal. Also with a dw1560 bluetooth doesn't work in bios while an apple Broadcom wifi chip works in bios. I used an NGFF M.2 Key A/E Adapter paired with a BCM94360CD but it doesn't seem to be working. After doing research I think its because this is an A/E Key adaptor while my motherboard uses a M.2 Socket (Key E).
