Disabling Nvidia cards for HS

I've been doing a bit of research, trying to troubleshoot the fact that the High Sierra updater does not run on my Hackintosh.

I've come to the conclusion that it's my GTX 980 causing this error:

Unfortunately, it seems that nv_disable=1 no longer works, but I can't disable my video card from the BIOS.

Is there any way (like, a kext to add to clover, another boot argument, or something) that will let me boot into HS, install it, and then install the web drivers?

I only ask because while it's not a big deal this one time, it'll be hell to keep digging into my computer and unplugging the video card just to update, install new drivers, and plug it back in.
