OK, I finally managed to get my X58A-UD3R running High Sierra using the following guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-ga-x58a-ud3r-v2-10-13-3-high-sierra.244558/
But I have two remaining issues.
First, my Western Digital 5TB drive is not recognized by High Sierra. I booted in to Sierra's Disk Util (as High Sierra's errors on any operation I attempt on this drive) and repartitioned it GUID/HFS+J, I am able to read/write the drive fine from macOS Sierra or Windows 10. At boot in High Sierra it reports that the drive is uninitialized. I see a lot of reports about this one, and have tried everything I can think of plus all of what has been suggested elsehwhere including: * Repartitioning as GUID * Formatting as HFS+J * Formatting as ExFAT * Formatting as FAT32 * Install Internally * Install Externally
Second, the graphics on my secondary 1080p monitor are tearing. I run two 24" 1920x1080 displays via DVI, and two 24" 1920x1080(scaled) 4K displays via DisplayPort. These displays are powered by two GeForce GTX 760s. I am using the NVidia Web Drivers and all four displays work simultaneously. There is, however, a lot of rendering issues on my second DVI monitor. This issue is the same whether I use the primary DVI port on the secondary card or the secondary DVI port on the primary card. Essentially, if I have more than one monitor hooked up via DVI, the second one the OS initializes will always show these artifacts. The two 4K displays on DisplayPort work flawlessly. This is not a monitor issue as I can swap the ports of the monitors and the issue will change to the new monitor. Here is a sample image of what I see on the secondary DVI-driven display: https://imgur.com/nrchDrK
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
