Kernel Panic that's a white screen?

I'm trying to install Sierra on an old Dell N7010, which has an i5-460M and 6GB of RAM, with integrated graphics... When I boot the Sierra installer, all goes well EXCEPT for one thing... it kernel panics, but in a really weird way.... it's just a white screen with very faint, grayish-blue horizontal lines, but I know it's a kernel panic because it reboots shortly after it happens, but doesn't when I disable the "Reboot on Kernel Panic" option. Any ideas? Google has been no help, at all.
