Does which Z370 motherboard I buy matter?

After actively looking through this sub I've seen many successful builds which many different z370 boards. I plan to purchase my parts at the end of the week and I want to make sure my parts will work easily and won't require a lot of troubleshooting. So, does the type of z370 board matter? If it does can someone recommend me a good option? Thanks
