Hackintosh laptop for audio work questions

Hello, I am an audio engineer/sound designer and I am looking to buy a new laptop.

I was looking at the new 16 inch, but it seems like the T2 chip in it causes audio dropouts with USB 2.0 interfaces, and upgrading to a tb3 interface would cost me another $1k+.

Normally I would then consider a windows laptop (I use Windows on my main PC anyways), the problem is that for audio work windows laptops are kind of minefield, depending on the drivers you are stuck using you could end up with horrible DPC latency.

Which brings me to hackintosh, seems like it would be the best of both worlds, specially since I have heard that it is becoming easier, and more stable to set one up.

However I have no idea if it is at all usable for audio work. Has anyone here ran tests for audio latency, or stability in general regarding dropouts etc?

Would it be better to just install macOS directly on the system? Or would a kvm/passthrough method work better?
