As title, anyone else with this? Im using an Apple Airport card and everything works just like it did in Catalina. Except for the bluetooth. I tried resetting the module and re-pair my mouse and keyboard. Cleared nvram for good measure too. When it's done booting and on the login screen the mouse and keyboard are very laggy for about 30 seconds. Then everything is fine and remains fine even when the machine does a sleep/wake cycle. It only happens when booting up. I had no such issues in Catalina and I did read about Big Sur having bluetooth issues on real Macs too. So I'm not sure if this is due to me or Big Sur. Everything else works perfectly fine as it did in Catalina. I'm somewhat leaning towards a Big Sur bug. I'm not using any kexts for the module. Booting my Catalina backup results in no lag at all. Big Sur is up to date. Maybe I should try the beta? Any tips or pointers are welcome. Edit: Upgrading Catalina to Big Sur also leads to the ~30 seconds of lag....

Hey everyone! I wanted to run catallina on my old PC and I tried to do it as well. I reached the installer bit I could not see my drives in the installer. I tried every method written in the guide and suggested by you guys but didn't work. So I decided to install High Sierra with an SMBIOS of MacPro6,1 and telemetrap kext added while installing. I succeeded and I am now running high Sierra. Note because of the SMBIOS I can upgrade to catallina my directly downloading the installer from the app Store. But if I did it, will it break my system? I have an old laptop with a Qualcomm Atheros QCNFA435 WiFi card which as far as I know isn't supported in OS X. I looked on eBay for a compatible Broadcom card but all of them are like £25+, a price I'd be willing to avoid if possible for a WiFi card. I know I could just use HornDIS for tether WiFi with Android, but couldn't you write the drivers for unsupported cards if you had the knowledge and were willing to put in the efforts? Hi Guys! I'm using Big Sur 11.2 on a Dell G5 5587 laptop with OpenCore. When I start sleeping in Mac it works fine, I can wake it. And then a couple minutes later it become deep sleep,(btw the keyboard and mouse lights are off but the power button light is always on) however when I try to wake it, the fan starts to work very hard and the system is not responding. The keyboard light is on, but the CapsLock light is not responding when I hit the key. Also my external mouse it has the power light activated, however the colourful light is not responding, feels like the system is already dead or sth, I'll have to hold the power button to shut it down forcefully. On Big Sur 11.0, have an IOGear usb bluetooth adapter, audio out works fine to BT headphones, but audio in doesnt work at all, on any of my BT headphones all of which also work with my other computers I know that the BCRMPatchRAM is supposed to help, but it didn't do anything for me. I think I'm gonna bite the bullet and purchase a new machine to develop for iOS. I'll also be at least dual booting to Ubuntu and perhaps Windows too. I know (or think I know) from a vague memory from years past that a hackintosh requires specific hardware for compatibility. I'm not too interested in game but I need to feed one (or preferable more) 4k monitors from the GPU. Can any provide me links for recommended hardware? I bought a TechKey bluetooth 5.0 adapter and it works on Windows with it's drivers (from their website). It originally didn't work in Linux, but got it to work after searching around and finding that someone provided drivers that made the adapter work. So i have a Lenovo V130-15IKB, and i got the macOS installer booting up fine on it after a bit of messing around and troubleshooting, and just recently found out OpenCore writes some variables to NVRAM. This is fine and all but if i'll have to someday, i don't feel safe resetting the NVRAM, as some Thinkpads (mine's not a thinkpad but still by Lenovo) get bricked while doing that. I could reset the NVRAM by updating the UEFI though, learned this the hard way when a UEFI update through Lenovo Vantage ended up nuking the Windows Boot Manager, that wasn't fun :P Also I'm kinda worried about some NVRAM write nuking my firmware, but I was seeing some stuff about Emulated NVRAM but it mentions stuff you need to do on MacOS once installed. Is there any way to set it up in some other way? Hi there, Finally went from high Sierra to Catalina and did a vanilla install which as far as I can tell has been very smooth with the exception of two things. iMessage and all other iservices work fine. DRM on AppleTV+ which I think is due to my GPU but I'm not bothered as Netflix etc all work fine. And the dreaded sleep issues. It goes to sleep (after a longer time than High Sierra) but on wake, powers up, fans increase then idle, power to keyboard and mouse, but screen stays black and have to hard shut down. I've been trying to hackintosh laptop for the past few months. Earlier I tried on an old laptop but that was unsuccessful after a few tries. I now want to hackintosh my new HP Omen Laptop. I'm able to boot into clover but then the mac setup does not boot. I think it's an issue with my BIOS settings. I have very few options to change settings in the BIOS. Just got Hackintosh Mojave running on my pc, but it does not recognize my wifi card. I have an ASUS PCE-ac55bt card. After doing some research, it seemed that this is widely unsupported for Mac. However, I’ve run across some .kext ‘s that look promising. Still, I’m a little wary of just throwing some kexts into multibeast or kextwizard without knowing what I’m doing. So here’s the question: is it possible to get WiFi running through this card in Mojave? Are there any tricks I can do to make the system think this card is a supported card? //side note: if it isn’t possible, could I get Bluetooth running through this card? That would enable me to tether from my iPhone, which is not recognized as a usb internet device for reasons that are beyond me. Just curios, due to Apple TV having ARM CPU, A10X for 4K version, will it be possible to run arm build of macOS with custom bootloader? I mean there are differences how RAM works, and the cpu itself lacking a lot of stuff (extra SIMD, Neural Engine e.t.c.). Hey! I am trying to run mac os Big Sur on my pc..... everything is fine and I can reach the installer (got some errors but it got solved). The problem is I cannot use my usb mouse. My PS2 keyboard works but the mouse doesn't. I think usb ports are not been detected.... So I tried to install catallina and I can go to the installer as well. But here the problem is I cannot see the drives in disk utility. I tried all the kexts one by one for the disk problem mentioned in the guide but no luck... But if I run high seirra installer I can see all the drives in disk utility. I think this is because high seirra is officially supported on my hardware. I have a dual boot system running really well, Catalina and Windows 10. Most times when booting into Windows 10 after having been in Catalina the time will be off and I’ll have to toggle time settings to get it to resync. This happens if it is set to sync automatically and it happens if that is turned off. Anyone have thoughts on this?
