Disable AOAC to allow S3 sleep

I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to disable the AOAC "feature" on laptops with a locked bios. I've tried the options of a patch and associated SSDT's to get deep idle working but it's not reliable at all.

I actually tried the steps at the above link to get S3 working in Windows with a DSDT patch, wonder if it's possible to do the same with Opencore? I tried making my own SSDT patch and seemed applied correctly but sleep was still not functioning.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!
