Why Cant Big Sir See My Volume?

Im on the step where I need to create the recovery, which involves running a command like this:

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Big\ Sur.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia — volume /Volumes/MyVolume

How come?
