I formatted an external drive in MacOS as ExFAt-GUID, and windows 10 doesn't initiate the drive when plugged in. In disk management all options to assign drive letters are greyed out. Only the option to turn the 'basic' disk into an 'active' one is available, but for fear of data corruption I decided not to touch it. But if formatted as ExFAT-MBR Win10 has no problems seeing it. Hi Guys, I am having a High Sierra Hackintosh with my gtx 970 GPU. I have enabled full GPU Acceleration. I have a 2k Monitor with this setup. If i am playing a 1080p movie, its working fine. But if i play a 2k/4k movie, the video playback is very sluggish and choppy. All movie files are from local SSD drive. If i upgrade my Gtx 970 with AMD Rx6800xt, will it helps the 2k movie playback or it will still be the same. I am having issues booting into Monterey when macOS has shutted down. When I want to go and power on the computer I get this error "DSMOS Arrived" when I am rebooting. To boot into macOS monetary successfully I have to reset the nvram and when it boots into windows I press restart. did install on my Asus X411UF Monterey hackintosh thanks to the pack https://github.com/tunglamvghy/AsusS530UN-hackintosh that includes the asussmc.kext file because this pack limit the battery charged to 80% more or less although mine is 83%. In my windows I have set the maximum lifespan for my battery so only charges to 58% :D. Hi guys. So I succeed in installing Catalina on my old Ivy Bridge laptop. Things go well, except that the temperature is always high (~80oC comparing to ~60oC on Windows). In addition, the fan is always on high speed, leading to so much noise So far, I tried FakeSMC and VirtualSMC, none would give me fan control (which I think doesn’t exist in this laptop anyway, I checked on Windows, too). Hi, I don't really know if it's an issue or just the normal behaviour but it seems that I can only install/update brew when SIP is fully disabled in config.plist NVRAM section (csr-active-config:FF0F0000), if I let it enabled (csr-active-config:00000000) terminal says I dont have the rights to write the folder (/usr/local). Hello, I just built my first vanilla Hackintosh with Big Sur with everything working - except 4K@60Hz. So my main problem is that i can't think of a solution to it, because my dGPU is nVidia GTX 1050 TI (which is not supported) and my Hackintosh is running on Intel UHD 630 with HDMI 1.4 and VGA ports. HDMI 1.4 nor VGA can output 4K 60Hz, HDMI can only output 4K@30 and i'm not even going to mention VGA. So is there a solution like dGPU port routing, so i can use dGPU ports with Intel iGPU? or Can i compress the signal to output 4K 60 like nvidia did back in 2014? or Can i use both of them, like Nvidia handling the displays and igpu handling the acceleration? I'm sorry if this was asked before, but it didn't cross my radar. Is there another solution to it? Right now i'm using it in 1440@60 mode but it kinda looks crappy on 28 inch screen. My hackintosh won't play any audio. It works PERFECTLY in almost all other ways, but when I go to youtube for example the video just keeps loading (I have a really good ethernet connection that works with googling and such) and no audio is played of course. I've tried spotify too and it tries to play but after a few silent seconds it displays "can't play this song" (and yes I've tried a bunch of different songs so that not the issue). I use Apple ALC and I've tried all the different numbers in the config.plist (I can't remeber what they are called but all the numbers related to my mobo audio). Non of them works! I'm stating to think it has something to do with the playback of audio/videos rather than the actual audio.
