First Ever Build - Video Editing/Transcoding (Advice/Feedback Wanted)

Hello Everyone,

I'm a regular Mac user who requires an upgrade from a MacBook Pro, so I'm trying to DIY & build the dream Hackintosh myself.

I work both as a Data Wrangler for Film/TV as well as a Video Editor, so I need something that can handle Raw files with ease and be able to chew through 4-8k video files. I'm looking for fast transfers and if possible, something that is solidly future-proof.

I'm mainly copying a build from a friend of mine who is currently using his for similar work - as well as taking some advice from TonyMac and a few reviews I found online.

Please see below my proposed list:

---------|---------- Motherboard | Gigabyte GA-Z270X-Ultra Gaming ATX CPU Cooler | Noctua NF-A9 PWM RAM | Corsair Vengeance LED   Graphics Card: GeForce® GTX 1080 Ti Gaming OC 11G
  SSD: Samsung 960EVO 1TB SSD   SSD: Crucial MX300 1TB SSD x2   Power Supply: Corsair RM650i 650W*   Fans: Corsair 120mm Fans x2*   Fans: Deep Cool 80mm Fan x2*

Adaptors: USB-C and TB3 Adaptors   Adaptors: TB3 Adaptor   WIFI/BT: OSX Wifi Card

*At the moment I'm still deciding on a case.

I would really love suggestions for anything that I might have missed/would be beneficial to include.

For the case, I'm trying to stick on the side of affordable and functional over style, but wouldn't mind something attractive as I plan to use this for quite a few years.

If possible, condensed weight as well, as I probably will be taking this on the road with me. I'm finding the amount of options a little overwhelming - so if you have found one that you love, please let me know!

Lastly for the monitor I am going to start off with something very basic and then upgrading maybe a week or so later, once I've got everything working as it should. I think I should be okay with this, but any advice would be much appreciated.

Thankyou for taking your time to read this.
