I've had messages fully working for some time now. Starting yesterday I could receive iMessages in my hackintosh, but when trying to reply it would fail. I signed out of Messages, iCloud, restarted, cleared Messages related caches and preference files, signed in but the result was the same.
I ended up generating a new serial number and confirmed it's not being used. I can log in to Messages and Facetime just fine, but now contacts known to be able to receive iMessages appear as "green" contacts, and now I can't even receive iMessages. I also have two other macbooks and Messages there work fine.
What I've done so far: confirm my network card is en0, logged out of iCloud, disconnect the network and clear Messages related caches and preferences, generated new serial number.
I'm running High Sierra with the supplemental update.
Anyone else with the same problem, or suggestions on what to try next?
