Slightly dim the screen doesn't work on boot/ HP Probook

Hello,

I have Mojave on HP Probook 440 G5 with clover, everything is working just fine, except for the "slightly dim the display on battery" option it never works when the computer boots, later if I go to sysprefs and disable and re-enable it it will start work until the next restart. Do you have any Idea what might be causing this?
