Replacing hardware. Can I just swap the drive?

I’ve currently got an Ivy Bridge system with AMD graphics running perfectly on Catalina with Opencore. I have Coffee Lake hardware arriving today.

If I create the proper EFI folder for coffee lake hardware and replace my current EFI with it, will the same macOS install boot on the new hardware? Obviously I’ll sign out of all the Apple services and stuff like that first.
