Unable to update to Mojave

So I'm currently running High Sierra on my Lenovo IdeaPad 510-15IKB and I'm trying to update to Mojave but for some reason I just can't. I tried updating from the app Store and also a USB installer but no success. The Apple logo comes up, the bar goes halfway and system restarts again. I also tried using the -v argument in clover bootloader for the installation but still the same problem. The last thing I can make out from the lines on the screen is "Attempting system restart...". I'm using the same EFI from my High Sierra installation. Should I use a different one or should I make any changes to the installer? I'm pretty noob in hackintoshing so please help me :(
