How do I - Clover Startup sound output and general config.

I noticed this option in the newer Clover. Is there something else I need to configure to get the start up sound working? When configured correctly at which point during boot does the sound happen? After verbose text?

Under the Startup sound output is

Volume:0000

I changed it to 1000 and hit F7 to test but heard nothing. I tried googling but found unrelated threads about Carillon and adding the start up sound via Launch Daemon.

The sound on my hack all outputs and inputs working with AppleALC and layout ID.
