Here's a screenshot of the color banding taken from the launchpad blur area. I don't know why the banding is even visible in a screenshot because actually it should only be a display thing and not affect the RGB values themselves? I'm a little confused about this. I've tried the updated Ruby script that generates a folder with a plist file in it to inject a EDID. I also tried using Hackintool to do the same thing (but it produced a different file). Both of these only resulted in the creation of an additional color calibration profile and the display name changing (to "...forced") but the banding issue is still present. Do I need to change something in clover for this to work? Did I not put it in the right folder? I put the generated folder called "DisplayVendorID-469" in a deep system folder called "Overrides" that already had a folder of the same name in it which I backed up and replaced. Specs
This is what system report tells me about the screen currently: Other display glitches include horizontal pixel lines (about 500 pixels) flickering in a bright color once in a while (like, 5 times a day) for one frame. Gray areas change color from slightly green to slightly red when I move another window on top of them. I'm welcome to any suggestion and questions. [link] [comments] |
