Hello everyone, hope you all are doing good. i have a problem which i can't seem to solve. I am trying to fix power management on my laptop, since it's probably the only thing that could prevent sleep from working. I have the smbios MacBookPro9,1 , and i have that SMBIOS because with MacBookPro7/8.x my system didn't boot at all (Probably because of my GPU), now i got everything except sleep working, and i am thinking that it is because of power management, since the tests are saying that it doesn't work, and i checked all the other possibilities which could prevent sleep from working (following dortania). now this is probably because i have SMBIOS newer than the guide advised. i also tried some args (./ssdtPRGen.sh -target 0 -model MacBookPro9,1 ) and then ssdtPRGen didn't give me errors that my smbios was not compatible, but it still doesn't work. i am willing to make and ssdt, or do some other more work something to get it working, if you have any idea let me...

When booting macOS, I get an error like in the picture towards the end. This error message appears over and over again and again, and finally the system is booted. The same error still persists even though I patched the dsdt file by running ssdttime and ssdtprgen.sh scripts. Laptop fan is running all the time and laptop running slow. Laptop Specs: MODEL: MSI GF63 9SC CPU: CORE I5 9300H RAM: 16GB GPU: GTX 1650(DISABLED) STORAGE: CRUCIAL BX500 480GB I have MacOS catalina installed on a sata ssd and windows on an nvme ssd in my laptop. I have mounted the EFI partition of my boot drive and copied the efi folder to that partition from my usb intaller and unmounted it. When I restart back into the bios to set the boot order, it doesn't show my Hackintosh SSD as a boot option. Just the usb, network boot and windows boot drives are shown. Hello fellow hackintosh experts! I recently just got my first OpenCore hack up and running on Catalina 10.14.4. I had used and still am using clover on my other system, so I am very new to OpenCore. With this system (ASUS Maximus XI, i9-9900k, iGPU (GTX1080 disabled), 32GB RAM) I need to dual boot, which is what least me to ask you guys for help. Again, I’m very new to OpenCore which seems to heavily rely on ACPI files, as compared to clover. As stated on the OpenCore vanilla guide: “ACPI patches and SSDTs are applied to all operating systems. Adjust your SSDTs with If (_OSI ("Darwin")) {} or use rEFind in conjunction with OpenCore.” At the moment I’m using only the provided SSDTs within the coffee lake section of the vanilla guide plus my SSDT-UIAC for usb. I do see that some of the provided SSDTs already have the If (_OSI ("Darwin")), but some don’t. For the ones that don’t, do I need to add that? And do I need to add it to my SSDT-UIAC? Hi Everyone! I built a Hackintosh for my studio and Im a bit of a n00b here. It works great except for a very annoying issue that it does every now and then. When I boot up I have to immediately play a track from Spotify and see if the Audio interface (that is hooked up via thunderbolt) is working. If it's not, I restart and that usually fixes it. Sometimes the issue is the audio interface and my iLok not showing up simultaneously. A couple restarts later and they both come up like nothing happened. I also have Sonarworks Reference 4 Systemwide that was set to override the Audio interface as main but I've deactivated that and I still have the issue. Unfortunately, I can't manage to get Handoff/Instant wifi/University Clipboard work. I am planning to switch to the BCM94360HMB for better feature. The problem is the BCM94360HMB wants 3 antennas, but my laptop only has 2 antennas. I noticed that there are 2 more antennas for the WWAN card (spare). Any change I could use the WWAN antenna as the 3rd antenna for the wifi card? Hi All, So my first venture over to Opencore has gone well however but it has thrown up a concern. If for any reason I get an unclean shutdown i.e. I'm at the picker list I think...crap I forgot to plug in that USB drive and push the reset button (no shutdown or restart option at the pick list)...then at best I'm back to a reset BIOS. Hello, I was going to try final cut pro on my surface pro but for some reason, it now gets stuck on end randomseed (clover) and the portable hard drive stops spinning. I am looking for assistance with my Vanilla Clover install of Catalina. I am able to make it 70% through the Apple logo loader screen. I'm trying to install Big Sur on a Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7 (running F8) with an I5-4690k cpu. This computer is currently running High Sierra with Clover. I'm baffled by what's going on though: I downloaded the Big Sur installer (latest, 11.2.3 I think it was...), formatted my 32gb USB3 drive correctly, and created a bootable installer using the built in apple command line. This succeeded and I proceeded to mount the EFI and copy BOOT and OC folders from a known working configuration that matches mine. Then I did the SMBIOS definition, serial stuff, and ROM for the config.plist. Most of my bios was setup correctly but I made any additional changes, most notably flipping from "Other OS" to "Windows 8" which revealed the option to disable Secure Boot. What I'm experiencing and can't seem to remedy, is the age old invalid boot media selected error when I try to boot from the flash drive (F12 on post, select UEFI Kingston32DataTravelerBlahBlah). ...

Hello! as stated in the title, the USB files are created but the PC won't boot from it. Whenever I select it (even tho I have boot from USBs selected first) the screen turns black and 1 sec later I see the normal windows logo and booting into windows 10. I've got a VM I've been using for iMessage via Airmessage for awhile now. I attempted to add another account to the mac, with a brand new Apple ID so I could set this up for one of my kids. iMessage says to call support and give them a customer code to allow the login. I have been trying to get that authenticated for some time, but have been escalated now and figured I'd try to stand up a fresh VM. I followed this guide to generate proper values to use in the VMX file. Stood up a new VM on Mojave, and am getting the same "customer code" authentication failures within that VM for every account I try to authenticate. It seems like requirements may have changed since I built my working VM but I can't seem to find any information out there about any values I might need to add to the VM, or how I can get authentication to work. Asus Prime a x299 Intel i7 9800x Amd w5500 gpu Big Sur 11.2.3 OpenCore 0.6.7 I installed via the guide. And I have a working system. Except for one annoying issue. I've two monitors hooked up via displayport. Boot messages show up fine. But when I get to the login screen I get black screens. The computer seems to be working aside from the video output. What resolves it is if I unplug one screen and then replug it in. That gets the monitor output working and all is well. But this is annoying to have to do every time I start my computer. Hello everybody :) I recently changed my GFX from nvidia GTX 1050 (which got me stuck in 10.13.6) to a Saphire Radeon RX5500XT to be able to update i first update to 10.14 because i thought i could have graphic acceleration with it, but no, so i decided to update to the latest version, 11.1 Big Sur I downloaded the update from the control center, and the update seemed to go well, it downloaded the whole thing and tried to update, but when it reboots, it goes back to 10.14 without updating. I tried to boot from Preinstaller, but it gets stuck in the beginning of the boot, i don’t really understand why. I tried booting from the second « new » option that appeared, which is « Firevault from Preboot », but it gets me back into 10.14 without installing anything. My setup is separate drives on dualboot Mac and Windows. Using OpenCore 0.6.6 Tested my 16gb RAM on Windows' MemTest64 for 2 hours with zero errors and still going. So incompatible RAM is out of the question. RAM sticks are also seated properly. Reinstalled it one to many times. I tried a different set of 16gb RAM sticks and still wont let me boot. Sadly I can no longer reinstall my 8gb set because I already sold it. Is there a configuration where I can set the RAM to be able to make me boot into my Big Sur partition? Opencore works on the boot picker.
