Background: I have a functioning virtual machine of Sierra on both laptop and desktop. I found a guide about two weeks ago on how to setup a macOS vm. I successfully created the USB drive with all the tools using tonymacs guide in the vm. I made sure all the settings in bios/UEFI firmware are correct. The desktop is custom built and every part is compatible. The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 5559 (2016).
Now my problem is booting into the install process. I'll mention now the problem is identical on both computers. I choose to boot from the thumb drive from the USB 2.0 slot. Clover loads up and I select macOS install. This thumb drive has a led indicator on it. It blinks when being used. As soon as the loading bar appears underneath the Apple logo, the thumb drive shuts off. The light is off and it the computer just sits there.
Anyone have suggestions or an idea as to what it could be?
