I have a Sonnet Presto Gigabit card that no longer works under High Sierra.. good old Apple. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has success with an external NIC that works under High Sierra OOB? I have wireless now but I need the sustained bandwidth from a wired connection.
My Gigabyte GA-z170x-Ultra Gaming onboard nic doesn't want to work no matter what I do. I can't even seem to get macOS to boot if it's enabled in the bios (I've video'd the boot sequence and there doesn't appear to be any errors, it just restarts).
I've ordered an AmazonBasics USB 3.0 Gigabit adapter as a stop gap but I'm looking for something more reliable than that.
