Weird ghosting effect when trying to boot up from my Hackintosh USB

Hello! I have a ThinkPad T440s I'm trying to Hackintosh. I boot it up with my USB in, go into the boot menu, and it gives me this weird ghosting contrast kind of effect that shows the last thing on my screen.

After I hit the enter button to boot from USB, there's a blinking cursor for a second, then it slowly turns grey and ghosts what was last on my screen.

The screen itself works fine, I've tested it with Windows and Linux Mint. Could the problem be something with the display drivers possibly? I'll link a picture or two if you guys are interested. Thanks for the help!
