Is there any benefit to a Coffee Lake Hack?

I know Coffee-lake its not officially supported, but was wondering how stable it is with OSX High Sierra.

I'm looking into building a mini-itx based hackintosh and there are few Z370 ITX boards and they are all quite expensive.

Given I have no interest in overclocking, what would be a more beneficial combo a Z370/i5-8600k or H270/i7-7700?
