As an amateur videographer I’m currently using a late 2011 MacBook Pro with Premiere Pro. As you’ve probably guessed things are a little slow, lag occasionally and I generally have to take care not to ask too much of it, but it is workable and I have produced a few videos that I’m pretty happy with and money is pretty tight at the minute. I haven’t upgraded this Mac at all since I bought it and was wondering whether it would be worth upgrading my RAM, hard drive or whatever else I can change in this to speed it up, or would I be throwing cash away and would I be better off saving that money to put towards a new machine altogether?
