Just finished an X220T conversion and use an external Samsung monitor. It has always worked fine on my MacBook Pro over a DP to mini DP cable. Now with the hackintosh with a DP cable, the monitor flickers on and off several times a minute. I tried setting the monitor to manual so it stays on DP versus HDMI but that didn't make a difference. I tried two different brand new DP cables. When it flickers it doesn't lose my window settings or anything I was typing while it flickered. Shucks. This is a perfect setup if not for this flickering. Not usuable with this problem. Thanks!
