Best way to fully backup OS before I get too confident and kill it?

With the help of Enigmahack my wifi is up and I feel like the laptop Aspire 7745g is about as solid as possible.

As a Mac Noob wondering what the best backup procedure is suggested for hackintosh installs? My laptop nicely has a 2nd internal hard drive. On the PC I always have a drive Image backup for perfect recovery.

This tutorial on using CCC looks like a great guide unless someone else has better ideas?
