Is it possible to use the ALPS touchpad with macOS Sierra as a trackpad? Right now I use VoodooPS2 kext(s) which tells macOS that it’s a mouse not a trackpad. Thus the trackpad section of System Preferences says no trackpad is found, which means I can’t configure gestures. Two finger scroll works, as well as three finger desktop switching, but tap-to-click doesn’t work (so I can’t tap with two fingers with right click or one finger for left click; only the actual buttons work).
So my question is, is there a kext that will allow macOS to see the touchpad as a trackpad, and enable it in System Preferences instead of as a PS2 mouse? I’d like to be able to set up the gestures and if possible, one/two finger clicks so I don’t have to use the buttons (it works like this even in Windows, but not macOS).
