Hi everyone. I've been lurking for a while and decided to assemble my first Hackintosh from old parts I had lying around. The main parts are:
- Intel i7 3770 (non-K)
- MSI Z77IA-E53 ITX board
- Sapphire Tri-X Radeon 290X
I managed to boot the installer (had to wait a while for the boot process to finish) and installed everything to a HDD (don't have an SSD for now).
I can boot and managed to fix HDMI Audio and a black screen using AppleALC and Whatevergreen + Luli. I'd say most is working for the moment, though I haven't really hammered the computer just yet. I followed a guide online to have native PM for my CPU and that seemed to work since I see my CPU downclock properly and turbo properly on Intel Power Widget.
However, when I sleep my computer and then wake it, everything grinds to a halt. Nothing is smooth anymore. The clock doesn't update and the Intel Power Widget stops showing values (it shows NaN instead). The keyboard gets very choppy and usually repeats the keys I press. Sound is choppy as well. After a while, it simply grinds to a halt and everything takes forever to do. I have to reboot to fix.
I'm at a loss since I don't even know what to search for, or where to search for it. Halp!
