Hackintosh for my parents

My parents' old IMac is getting old so they need a new computer. Since I want build them a new computer but they have used mac over 10 years and therefore want a macOS I feel that hackintosh is the only way to go. Since they are ready to pay 2000€ for the new IMac I have a really nice budget for building the computer myself. Furthermore they currently have several macs so I have access to the legit macOS installer.

How stable is the hackintosh build if done correctly? I've built many computers myself and know my way around computers so I think I can get the hackintosh build done correctly. However I live on other city so if something comes up with the hackintosh I will not be able to help them immediately.

My dad is quite accustomed to computers so he may be able to fix some minor things himself but I'd prefer he get the "full mac experience" when everything just works. If I configure and install it correctly and make sure everything works before I hand it over to them, can I trust that the hackintosh will stay stable? Of course I could update it once every 3 months or so and meanwhile I could tell my parents not to update anything on their own.

I tried to search this subreddit for a similar post but all of them were two years old so I thought they don't accurately represent the current situation with the hackintosh. Thanks for your help!
