Well I made a stupid mistake trying to troubleshoot a 2012 15" MBPr. I dropped a USB stick that had Clover on it. It booted one time then kaput. When I tried booting it up again, it just gives a black screen and the chime over and over again. Keyboard is unresponsive, except I can reset SMC. Once it's powered on, I cannot enter recovery mode, safe mode or zap pram.
Is it possible to recover this machine? I don't need to save the data on the ssd, and am willing to yank it out and do whatever to the drive to get it operational again.
Any advice is appreciated, outside of going to the Apple Store with my tail between my legs (obviously out of warranty).
