Preliminary Benchmarks for New MacBook Pros Show Biggest Jump in Performance Since 2011 [Chart]

Primate Labs has published its preliminary benchmarks for the new MacBook Pro, revealing the biggest performance jump since 2011.

For the 15-inch MacBook Pro, single-core performance increased 12-15% and multi-core performance 39-46%. The improvement is mainly due to higher Turbo Boost frequencies, additional cores, and DDR4 memory. OpenCL performance for the discrete GPUs is up 28-32% due in part to higher frequencies.
