Emulated NVRAM: If your system is older and boots using legacy BIOS instead of UEFI or doesn't have working hardware NVRAM in OS X, you can emulate the NVRAM functionality using the EmuVariableUefi driver and Clover's RC Scripts (select "Install RC Scripts to target partition" in the Clover installer); this will save the NVRAM data to a file at every shutdown, and the EmuVariableUefi driver will load this file and pass it to OS X as the NVRAM data
