Installing High Sierra from USB - Stuck at kextd stall 'AppleACPICPU'

Hi all Hackintoshers.

I recently got a new SSD and decided to reinstall my entire system on that instead of having a split SSD/HDD setup, as well as upgrading to High Sierra in the meantime.

My initial setup was done using Multibeast so I've decided to re-install using the vanilla method following this guide, following all the steps (except the properties as I have a HD4600 and a dGPU and didn't quite understand if this was releveant.

However when I boot from the USB the bootup process starts, takes a while and then eventually get stuck on the message kextd stall 'AppleACPICPU'. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

My EFI is here
