After finally getting Snow Leopards installed I was able to download El Capitan from the Mac App Store and was able to use Unibeast to successfully make a bootable USB stick. I know its bootable since it booted up on an old core 2 duo laptop. It can't install since its unsupported but this shows the drive does work.
The odd thing is it seems like it's not even attempting to read to the USB drive, even after removing every other drive and trying every port. In Snow Leopard, it shows up on the desktop so it can read from the port. Any help is welcomed
