Bluetooth adapter for airpods!

Happy new year everyone!

Im using a bluetooth adapter (USB) from aliexpress; it is more than fine for using a magic keyboard, trackpad and mouse at the same time.

Audio is very choppy on airpods; that is the audio is more or less unusable.

What bluetooth adapters are reccommended for this? Continuity isnt important, nor is handoff... but im wondering what adapters people are using to make the airpods and various bluetooth accessories work nicely : )
