In doing lots of internet research for my upcoming first build, I feel like its split down the middle between people that say that the difference in final cut timeline performance between the i7 and i9 is not much at all and people who say it’s 20% to even 60% faster. Just read a post from someone who said they regularly edit 8k footage with no issues on an i7, immediately followed by a post who said there’s basically no difference. I’m down to drop a bunch of cash on an i9 but before I do, is there anyone who has had experience with either who can give me their honest opinion on it? Super appreciate it!
